Hi!! My name is Darla Hamm. Welcome to Mrs. Hamm's 6th Grade Math Class! Here is a little bit about me...I was born and raised in Colorado. I graduated from Regis University with an emphasis in Elementary Education in 2000. After that, I moved to South Dakota, and I began my career in education in 2001 when I joined the PDC Program at USD, where I had a mentor teacher and taught 4th grade here at Dakota Valley! In the PDC Program I earned my Masters of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood endorsement. In 2002, I got my first job teaching 1st grade at St. Agnes in Vermillion, and I got married to my husband, John. In 2004, we had out first son, Austin, and 2006 we welcomed twins to the family, Aidan and Hailey. I taught four years in 1st grade and then two years in Preschool before I accepted the Principal Position. I went back to USD to earn my degree in PK-12 Administration, and I was the Principal at St. Agnes for 10 years. Now I am back here at Dakota Valley where it all started 17 years ago. I am very excited to be back in the classroom and to be a part of the DV Family! Go Panthers!
